Barcelona are close to signing 19-year-old Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen for €2.5 million, including a 15% future sale clause. Despite recovering from a knee injury, he’s seen as a long-term talent. He’ll train with the first team but play for Barcelona Atletic, with a possible inclusion in the pre-season Asia tour.
During the summer of 2025, Barcelona are closing in on the signing of 19-year-old Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen in a deal worth around €2.5 million. The agreement also includes a 15% sell-on clause, ensuring the Catalan club profits from any future transfer. Bardghji, who missed significant game time last season due to a serious knee injury, is considered a long-term prospect by the club. Though his preferred position is on the right wing, currently occupied by rising star Lamine Yamal, Barcelona plans to slowly integrate him into the system.
The initial strategy involves Bardghji training with the first team while playing matches for Barcelona Atletic under new manager Juliano Belletti. This approach allows him to gain experience and match fitness while adjusting to life in Catalunya. Additionally, there’s a possibility that he will be included in Barcelona’s pre-season tour of Asia, offering head coach Hansi Flick a chance to assess his abilities firsthand.
Barcelona see Bardghji as part of their future, and this signing aligns with their ongoing focus on youth development. The low transfer fee and future clause represent a low-risk investment with potential high reward, especially if Bardghji can regain form and fulfill his early promise.
